Pizzeria Lola is a wood fired pizza joint located in Minneapolis, MN. It has been featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. My dear friend, Katie, and her boyfriend, Nick, recently moved to a home that is practically across the street. Never being ones to turn down pizza, when they extended an invite for us to try it, Brandon and I were on board.
Pizzeria Lola has a great selection of pizzas and almost every variety is available on a gluten free crust.
Brandon and I ended up trying the Hawaii Pie-O on a gluten free crust. It had crispy bacon, pineapple, and spicy serrano peppers. The pizza was delicious, and their gluten free crust was very good.
For dessert, Pizzeria Lola offers house-made soft serve ice cream. For those of you that don’t know me, I am an absolute ice cream fanatic. I tried their vanilla soft serve with olive oil and sea salt. It was a perfect salty-sweet combo. YUM!!!
To end the night, Katie and I opted to try out the photo booth. I am not sure why they have this, but if you choose, you can hang your pictures on a wall lining the restaurant. We just did it because taking pictures in a photo booth is always fun.
One other fun aspect of Pizzeria Lola is their plates. They have an eclectic collection. Each person gets a unique plate for their meal. I forgot to take a picture of mine, so you will have to check it out for yourself if you decide to try it out.
