Slow Cooker Chicken Marinara Sandwiches {Gluten Free}

Serves: 4 sandwiches
  • 1 - 20 oz package boneless, skinless chicken breasts (3-4 chicken breasts)
  • 2 cups Uncle Steve's Marinara Sauce + rest of the jar for extra sauce after cooking
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 gluten free buns
  1. Add chicken breasts and 2 cups of marinara sauce to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 2-3 hours until chicken is cooked through and falling apart (can also do on low for 4-6 hours).
  3. Turn off the slow cooker and remove the chicken breasts.
  4. Shred the chicken using 2 forks and then add back to the sauce.
  5. Depending on how much sauce you like, add the remaining sauce to the shredded chicken or use extra to top sandwiches.
  6. Build sandwiches by adding chicken to the bun and top with a slice of cheese.
This recipe would also be great for a crowd. You can easily double or triple this.
